Man accused of stealing neighbor's dogs for barbecue

A Juárez, Mexico, man is accused of an act which is nothing short of shocking and gruesome.

According to Thursday's Associated Press, 39-year-old Ulises Rodela confessed to stealing three of his neighbors dogs and barbecuing them.

Authorities were alerted to a problem after a street brawl occurred, apparently between Rodela and the individual who owned the missing dogs.

Rodela initially tried to convince the neighbor that he had taken the dogs to animal control, but his story fell apart after animal control stated that no dogs had been received.

It is unclear whether Rodela cooked the dogs and sold the meat, or kept the meat for personal consumption. Officials indicated that they would be checking food stands in the area to see if they were in possession of dog meat.
