A 16-year-old dog named "Ralph," found himself the unwitting victim in a domestic dispute between a Naples, Fla., couple, reported Tuesday's Sun Sentinel.
Last Thursday, Lester Arnold Forrest allegedly doused the elderly dog in bleach following an argument with the dog's owner, Renee Pretice.
Pretice described the overwhelming smell:
"As soon as you opened the door, your eyes are stinging. That's how strong it was. It was just everywhere,"
Forrest allegedly dumped the harsh chemical, not only on the dog, but on Pretice's belongings.
According to a police report, Forrest claimed that he was attempting to eliminate mold, but Pretice insists that it was a vengeful act instead, especially in light of their recent fight.
Thankfully, Ralph seems to be none-the-worse for wear following the traumatizing ordeal.
Forrest, on the other hand, was arrested by Collier County deputies, and charged with animal cruelty.
