According to Wednesday's publication of the Los Angeles Times, the San Pedro, Calif., man who is accused of drugging and raping a dog could spend up to nine years in prison if he is convicted of all charges.

Christopher Alexander Caceres, 22, is facing felony charges for the sordid attack on a man's 80-pound Akita, which was caught on video from a surveillance camera.

The dog's owner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, watched the video of the assault, which took place in his own back yard, and stated that the attack went on for an agonizing two (plus) hours.

The perverted activity was captured because the dog's owner had feared that his house was being targeted by a prowler and he installed security cameras. Prior to the video-taped assault, the dog's owner had heard his dog cry out during the night, and he also discovered fur from his dog scattered in his yard.

In addition to the felony animal cruelty charge, Caceres is facing a charge of felony burglary and misdemeanor sexual assault of an animal; he remains behind bars.
