According to Sunday's publication of the Tennessean, a man in Clarksville, Tenn., was arrested after he allegedly attacked his wife, and the family dog.
The wife of 33-year-old Spencer Johnson Jr. was able to call the authorities on Thursday night to report that she, and her dog, had been attacked.
Johnson is accused of flying into a rage because he thought that his wife was cheating on him.
After Johnson allegedly grabbed the woman and threw her onto the bed, the family dog started to bark and soon became the target of Johnson's rage.
The woman told the authorities that her husband picked the dog up, threw him against the wall, slammed the dog onto the couch and began to pummel the dog with his fists.
By the time that the police had arrived, Johnson was gone, but he was found, and arrested, later that night on charges of domestic assault, interfering with an emergency call and cruelty to animals.
No word on the condition of the dog who was attacked.
