A man, 82, tackles a suspect that was being chased by police. On Feb. 10, ABC News reported that Terry Miracle was minding his business, doing some gardening when he heard a clatter. According to the report, Miracle was approached by the 27-year-old burglary suspect, who was running away from police.
"I kicked out my knee, as I always did with a cross-body block, and caught his knee with my knee. He went down and so did I," Miracle said. The suspect made a quick recovery and tried to run away, but Miracle's quick thinking and swift actions gave the police enough time to catch up.
The man, 82, tackles the suspect and is now getting nation wide attention. Although he is old, he didn't hesitate when it came to doing his part in this criminal activity that somehow found him. Longview Police Sgt. Mike Hallowell said that it 'it took a Miracle' to catch the suspect, making an obvious connection between the man's last name and the events that occurred in Wash. state.
The suspect has been identified as Morgan Perry Bluehorse and he was arrested and "booked for investigation of second-degree burglary related to an earlier investigation, third-degree theft, trespassing, resisting arrest, obstructing an officer, malicious mischief and methamphetamine possession. He also had a no-bail Department of Corrections warrant" according to Hallowell (via ABC News).
When a man, 82, tackles a suspect, it is pretty amazing, isn't it?
