Man, 50, killed after losing control of vehicle, crashing into guardrail

A 50-year-old Stone Mountain man was killed when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a guardrail early Tuesday morning in Henry County.

The man, identified as Mr. Brian Dale Fulton, was found dead at the scene, and investigators believe he may have had a medical emergency.

The investigation began at 5:45 a.m. when officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had left the roadway on I-75 southbound just before the I-675 merger, according to Henry County police.

Mr. Fulton was driving a blue Mustang when he suddenly hit a guardrail and then went off the right side of the roadway, police spokesman Sgt. Joey Smith said.

Police have not released any details on whether the man was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck. But Sgt. Smith said investigators believe the man may have had a medical issue.

Anyone with information on the accident is asked to call Traffic Specialist Officer Eck with Henry County Police at (770) 288-8200.
