Someone shot a 37-year-old man multiple times and left him to die in the middle of a southeast Atlanta street.

And police on Thursday said they were still searching for clues to who shot him and why.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as Mr. Fikree Jordan, of Atlanta.

Officers who were investigating a report of about shots fired responded to 964 Farrington Place around 10:45 p.m., according to Atlanta police. A short time later they found the man’s body on the sidewalk, police spokesman Sgt. Gregory Lyon said.

Homicide investigators responded and determined the man had been shot multiple times, Sgt. Lyon said. But investigators did not release any details on the man’s wounds.

Capt. Paul Guerrucci told Channel 2 Action News that detectives had not established a motive for the shooting, but added, “We have nothing to believe that the victim was involved in criminal activity during this incident.”
