A man died of a gunshot wound Wednesday afternoon, less than an hour after he was found slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle in Fulton County.
On Thursday police said they were still trying to determine who shot Mr. Henry Fraley IV and why. They were also trying to determine where the 31-year-old College Park man was shot and if he was inside the vehicle at the time.
Shortly before 2:40 p.m., a woman spotted the vehicle and the man slumped over the wheel at Stonewall Tell and Enon roads, according to Fulton County police.
“He was driving and ran up on a curb,” police spokeswoman Cpl. Kay Lester said. “We don’t know where he was shot or if he was inside the car at the time. We don’t know where he was going or where he was coming from.”
The woman who found him called 911 and reported he was bleeding from the side. But responding officers discovered that he had a gunshot wound to the chest.
“He was breathing, but wasn’t able to speak,” Cpl. Lester said.
He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he died shortly before 3:30 p.m.
