During a dispute, a man allegedly fired several shots at a moving vehicle – injuring one of the two people inside over the weekend in Columbia.

Around noon on Monday, officers arrested the alleged shooter, Mr. Jacob O’Nay Green, at an apartment complex on Riverwind Drive, according to Columbia police.

Mr. Green, 23, is charged with two counts of attempted murder, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, and unlawful carrying of a handgun, police spokeswoman Ms. Jeniffer Timmons said.

Police also charged Ms. Shante Lavontay Tabor, 24, with accessory after the fact of a felony, Ms. Timmons said.

The shooting happened Saturday after Mr. Green allegedly got into a fight with the unidentified victim at 818 Harden St., she said.

“Green is accused of following the victim and his acquaintance and firing multiple shots at a moving vehicle,” Ms. Timmons said.

As a result, the male victim was reportedly shot in the leg, she said; then added that the injury did not appear to be life-threatening.

Ms. Tabor allegedly witnessed the shooting, but did not notify police and gave false information to police when questioned about the incident, Ms. Timmons said.
