A 22-year-old man was shot to death during a fight early Monday morning outside a restaurant in College Park. And police said they were questioning three people in connection with the crime.

So far, police have not released the name of the victim nor the suspects. But they said criminal charges are expected to be filed soon.

The investigation began around 2:40 a.m. when officers responded to the El Ranchero restaurant at 5023 Old national Hwy., according to College Park police.

When officers arrived they found the man with a gunshot wound and he was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital where he later died, police spokesman Sgt. Jeff Hightower said.

Investigators said there was a fight between two small groups of people and during the altercation, someone pulled out a small caliber handgun and shot the victim.

It’s unclear what the fight was about and just how many people were involved.
