A 22-year-old man was shot to death at an apartment complex in southwest Atlanta early Friday morning. And police are searching for possible witnesses to find out who shot him and why.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as Mr. Jarrod Ford, of Atlanta.
The investigation began around 12:25 a.m. when officers responded to a call about a person shot at the Brentwood Village Apartments at 1935 Alison Court, according to Atlanta police.
When they arrived they found the victim with a gunshot wound in the breezeway of one of the buildings, police said.
He died shortly after officers arrived, police spokeswoman Officer Kim Jones said.
So far, police have not been able to find any witnesses to the shooting and they have not said who called 911. It’s also unclear if Mr. Ford lived in the complex or if he was visiting one of the residents.
