A 22-year-old man was shot to death early Saturday morning in northwest Atlanta. And a day later, police were still trying to determine who shot him and why.
They are also trying to put together the details on the circumstances of the shooting.
On Sunday, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as Mr. Samuel Gantt, of Atlanta.
The investigation began around 3:10 a.m. when officers responded to the 400 block of Norfolk Street after getting a report of a person shot, according to Atlanta police.
When officers arrived, they found a man who with a gunshot wound to the chest, Officer Chafee said.
Mr. Gantt was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he died.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting may have occurred in the 500 block of Norfolk Street and may have been related to an earlier argument,” Officer Chafee said.
But it’s unclear how many people were involved in that argument.
