A 20-year-old man was killed in a hit and run wreck while walking on a Marietta road, and police are searching for a Kia Spectra that they believe was involved in that wreck.
The incident happened around 3:10 a.m. in the west bound lanes on North Marietta Parkway, just east of I-75, according to Marietta police.
Investigators said the man was walking in the far right, right turning only lane when he was struck from behind by a vehicle, which proceeded to leave the scene.
The man, whose name has not yet been released, was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital via Metro Ambulance, where he was pronounced deceased from his injuries, police spokesman Officer David Auld said.
Now investigators are searching for a 2007-2009 four door Kia Spectra, either a hatchback or coupe model, with right side passenger front end damage, Officer Auld said.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of this vehicle is asked to contact Officer Geoff Culpepper at (770) 794-5357.
