Somebody utilized a garden hose to tie a puppy to a tree, in the woods outside of Dallas, Texas, reported Monday's My Fox DFW News.
The six to eight-month-old boxer mix puppy, dubbed "Lucky," by his rescuers, was abandoned and left to die.
On Monday, an area resident was alerted to the suffering puppy's plight by a soft bark. Upon discovering the pup, who had no food or water, the good Samaritan contacted the rescue agency, Apollo Support and Rescue, for help.
Lucky was whisked away to a veterinarian where the director of the rescue, Cat Dennis, stated that he was found to be suffering from an infestation of fleas, as well as "very anemic."
Currently, the identity of the person(s) responsible for subjecting this puppy to such suffering, remains a mystery. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the rescue agency.
