A new study suggests that men who are monogamous are smarter than their man-whore counterparts. The source article goes into great detail about the reasons why, which include, among others things, the suggestion that it takes a big, er, brain to overcome the evolutionary urge to hump as many mates as possible in an effort to spread one’s genetic seed.
Forgive any tongue-in-cheek tone. This is just the sort of news that makes Modern Love giggle in a fit of silly smugness. The British researchers, using data collected in the US, also linked higher IQ with both liberalism as well as atheism, adding to the potential controversy.
Another amusing result: the data don’t apply to women. Apparently, our beliefs and mating habits are unrelated to how we score on an IQ test. Must be our bigger, er, corpus callosums that make it easier for us to juggle sex, smarts and spirituality.
In related news, a new website, geared towards fans on monogomous relationships, has recently launched. Caling itself 'Manogamy.com,' it offers encouragement, support and information for men committed to walking the faithful path. Just because they can't spell, doesn't mean they aren't intelligent...all teasing aside, the website explains that, 'We know how to spell monogamy. That is why our theme is misspelled with a purpose...we believe the key to successful relationships is LOVE."
Sounds very bright, and Modern Love, to us.

Can I just say that any woman who kows both types of men has already figured this out.
Ignoring your needlessly rude use of the term ‘man-whore’ to describe men who choose non-monogamy as a lifestyle, maybe you should actually read the article you are using as a basis for your article as it states clearly “The IQ differences, while statistically significant, are not stunning -- on the order of 6 to 11 points -- and the data should not be used to stereotype or make assumptions about people, experts say.” Obviously a point the article made that you decided to ignore.

Furthermore your writing implies women approach mating habits in a more mature manner regardless of their IQ. Again, read the article which states “Kanazawa did not find that higher or lower intelligence predicted sexual exclusivity in women.” Note it doesn’t specify women intelligently choose monogamy which is the assumption your article implies. An equal assumption, with consideration to your vocabulary and contrast to your sexual bias, based on the article would be “Many women are sluts regardless of or in despite of their perceived intelligence”.
Finally supporting the conclusion; Low IQ males pursue sexual variety and women of any intelligence level pursue sexual variety, whereas high IQ males are the only smart ones and prefer exclusivity.

Bravo to all those brilliant, sexy, straight and gay, monogomous and not, men and women, who still have a sense of humor about sex.
As for maturity - I'm still waiting to grow up myself. Catch me in 40 years and see if I've figured it out yet.

When you use foul slang and put forth flawed opinion it is called 'satire'. When I do the same you imply I have no sense of humor and am grumpy?
That's almost as sad as someone using flawed logic and foul stereotypical language to advertise their animosity toward the opposite sex then playing it off as humor when held accountable.
