It sounds unbelievable, but you read that correctly! PetFix Northeast Ohio and the Rainbow Veterinary Clinic in Cleveland Heights are going to neuter 100 cats on Saturday, February 25, and they are only charging $6 per cat to do it!
PetFix’s “Fix for Six” event is a celebration of the program’s most successful year yet. PetFix board member Linda Mitchell, DVM, owner of Rainbow Veterinary Clinic, is offering her surgical services and her clinic as a location. The PetFix mobile clinic will be parked right outside, and PetFix vets and Rainbow vets will both be performing surgeries.
You must make an appointment and be able to show proof of low income; a Medicaid card or benefit letter will suffice. People caring for socialized strays or barn cats and agencies that offer cats for adoption also qualify.
Female cat surgeries have all been filled, but there are still appointments available for male cats. Every cat who needs one will also receive a rabies vaccine.
Kittens must be eight weeks old or weigh at least two pounds to be eligible.
PetFix Northeast Ohio is a state-of-the-art mobile vet clinic. They travel all throughout the greater Cleveland area performing low cost spay and neuter. Surgeries are performed by licensed veterinarians with the assistance of registered veterinary technicians and animal care technicians.
