#Malalachat. Malala Yousafzai the brave Pakistani teen who faced any human beings worst nightmare, The Taliban and was shot in the face for her stance on the rights of the girls, of every child to finish their education, and have access to school.
Malala’s new book is about to be released and said to be #1 in a flash
I Am Malala: The Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban, due out October 8, 2013. The girl the Taliban wanted dead was only 15 at the time, and it speaks volumes to how the men see women as a threat to the way the terrorize and want to hold them back. Last July CNN as part of their “Girl Rising,” published a letter from the Taliban stating why they wanted Malala dead.
“The Taliban believe you were intentionally writing against them and running a smear campaign to malign their effort to establish an Islamic state…so they attacked you for your sword not your books or pen, because you said the pen is mightier than the sword.”
The Taliban stormed Malala’s school in October 2012 and shot her in the head to silence her refusal to back down from what she believed in, for children around the world to have access to school. Earlier in September Malala Yousafzai received an award from Amnesty International’s Ambassador of Conscience in Dublin, Ireland.
