Maksim Chmerkovskiy murdered his opportunity to be a judge on “Dancing With the Stars” last season. Or so the fans thought after watching his lack-luster performance. Well, the actual show along with the ABC's President of Entertainment, Paul Lee obviously weren’t as harsh on their commentary of the professional dancer and might invite him back into the ballroom. According to E! Online on Friday, the rumors are that the dancer could touch the paddles once again.
So far the decisions of the network only have offered a premiere date and a teaser on what will be part of the show in the future. With the date coinciding towards the end of The Bachelor, everyone is assuming that Juan Pablo will be in the mix as well.
When Maksim Chmerkovskiy was judging on the show, the biggest issue was the lack of opinion and his sympathy towards the professional dancers. However, that was just one episode. If the star could be a little more focused on the celebrities and a little more critical, he might be a good judge after all.
How can Maksim achieve a little more finesse behind the judging table before “Dancing With the Stars” premieres on Monday, March 17 on ABC? Perhaps he should follow Len Goodman around for a while and develop a critical judgment towards the dancers. While nobody wants him to be as harsh as the elderly judge, they just want him to point out errors and critique the contestants without all the sympathy.
