Making Yogurt what went wrong

Troubleshooting making yogurt and what may have happened if yours did not turn out quite right.

Yogurt will not thicken 

  • Starter was inactive
  • Not enough starter was used
  • Incubating temperature was too hot or too cold
  • Milk was too hot or too cool when starter was added
  • Culture was stirred or moved while incubating

  • Starter is too old
