Taking the family to Epcot for the holidays?
Before heading down to Epcot, it pays to look at what Disney has to offer by going to its website, https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/epcot/holidays-around-the-world/
If your family is staying at a Disney resort, you may have been contacted by Disney about its roll out of MagicBands. If you have received MagicBands, make sure to pay attention to information sent to you beforehand. Much of information is online, and may also be contained in a USB sent to your home.
Some information about MagicBands can be found on Disney's websites such as https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/my-disney-experience/bands-cards/.
If you're local, and/or not staying at a Disney resort, you can reserve FastPasses by ensuring that you have downloaded Disney's app on your phone. Depending on the attraction, you can reserve FastPasses on the same day.
Passholders are now able to access some of the features of MyMagic+ https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/my-disney-experience/passholder/, The number of attractions that have FastPass now have grown. For instance, the FastPass feature through MyMagic+ now allows you to get a FastPass for the viewing area for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.
You may want to consider using your FastPass selections wisely. The longest wait lines at Epcot are for Soarin', Mission Space, and Test Track. These three attractions are booked quickly so plan accordingly.
Also, if you are coming down to visit Epcot in December, it's one of the busiest months for all of the Disney parks. Make sure to book your dining reservation (priority seating) before your arrival especially if you are planning to eat at the more popular places to eat such as Canada's Le Cellier, or the United Kingdom's Rose & Crown.
Don't be in a rush to leave the park, and make sure to stay for the fireworks show. Now, due to the holidays, Epcot's signature firework show has added the traditional, 'Let there be Peace on Earth' finale.
The holidays are a great time to get together with family and friends. No one puts on better holiday shows than Disney, but you should do some planning in advance to maximize the fun!
