A mudroom is Grand Central Station in most households. It’s where everybody comes and goes and most of the time that means it can end up a mess. Making the most of your mudroom, not matter how big or small it is, can make a huge difference in its functionality.
Nobody wants to come in the door and have to play hop-scotch through a pile of shoes or attempt a long jump just to get out the door. Shoe organization is a big part of having a functioning mudroom. Now that everything has its place you have to keep the mudroom clean and free of clutter. Designate cubbies with labeled bins for items like gloves, hats, or sporting equipment. It is also handy to keep a basket for dirty items that may otherwise get tossed on the floor.
