Making tangerine sugar scrub at home

See also

I absolutely loved Trader Joe's Tangerine Sugar Scrub and was heart-broken when it was discontinued. I am thrilled to have found a recipe to create Trader Joe's Tangerine Sugar Scrub at home.

What you will need:

  • ripe banana
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract or your favorite essential oil

What you will need to do:

  1. Mash everything together in a bowl until it is a chunky mess. Do not mix too much or it will get watery.
  2. Then hit the shower, scrub and rinse.

The benefit of sugar scrubs is that it exfoliates the skin. It doesn't matter what type of skin you have, these scrubs can present a better appearance and can be used to treat various skin conditions, as well. For more about making your own sugar scrubs watch the video above.
