Boys & Girls Clubs of Citrus County Florida programs provide a safe, positive, structured environment with programs that promote academic, emotional, physical, and social development. The Clubs organization’s programs promote academic success, instill good character and leadership, and teach the principles of a healthy lifestyle. They establish a foundation for a child’s future success as a responsible adult, providing healthy self-esteem and a wholesome existence. All this is possible with the volunteer support of community members who serve as officers and board of directors. One of the primary supporters is Chad Halleen and his father Robert (Bob) Halleen. They are the owners of Love Honda, Love Chevrolet and Love Motorsports. Chad serves as the president of the Citrus Boys & Girls Clubs and his father is on the board of directors. Every year the Halleen's donate a high end sports car, usually a Corvette or Camaro, to the main fund raising project called "Cruzin' for Kids". Raffle tickets are sold at the clubs and at area businesses. There are three units within the Citrus County Club and Robert Halleen has been recognized for his commitment to children by having the Homosassa unit named for him, the Robert Halleen Homosassa Unit. Thanks to wonderful community volunteers, this organization can help kids all year long and the Halleen's show their commitment not just at the holidays but throughout the year.
