Registration is currently open for restaurants and sponsors to join this fall's Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, the region’s largest dining event, which is returning Nov. 4-17. 85 percent of restaurants who participated in the spring dining event said sales increased during the two-week period. Almost 90 percent of restaurant-goers said they plan to return to the restaurant they dined at again, with 46 percent of them visiting for their first time, according to a Hudson Valley Restaurant Week survey.
Restaurant Week supports the local farm-to-table movement with menu items featuring local suppliers while embracing new and diverse venues. Participating restaurants offer prix-fixe (pronounced pre fee) three-course dinners at $29.95 and/or lunches at $20.95 (plus beverage, tax and tip) to the 200,000 hungry visitors expected to visit the Hudson Valley during the event.
Individual chefs reported increases in meals served and a positive feedback from their patrons. Most indicative of the success of the two week event is how many participating restaurants are returning. If your restaurant isn't part of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week now, it is time to register now!
