You’ll have a one of a kind original and of course you can make more than one in varying styles.
To begin simply etch a half-oval on a piece of 12-by-18-inch, black card stock to start the cone base for the project. Construct the center of the arch 9 inches from the base edge of the paper. Draw four, 1-inch-wide and 4-inch-long rectangular feline legs on the paper. Cut out the newly created half-oval and spin the ends over each other to shape a cone. Tape the ends together with strong invisible tape. Cut out the cat leg shapes and attach them to the back and front of the cone with glue; extend them about an inch below the base edge. Draw a circle, 5 inches in diameter and the same size feline head shape on another piece of black construction paper. Cut them both out carefully. Glue eyes in the color of your choice to the pretty cat face. Append black chenille stems or yarn for realistic whiskers, a pink heart shaped nose and a sliver of pink paper for the cat's mouth. Glue the face on the front of the cone in a location where the head is not sticking over the top. Cut the black circle into a twisting coil and glue the center of the coil to the back of the cone where the cat's tail should be.
Wear the black cat craft, but if you don’t have the nerve, just use it as a decoration. Make more than one and use to decorate the mantelpiece above the fireplace or use one as a centerpiece on your dining room table or kitchen counter.
