Does your child has to go without Girl Scout cookies because of food allergies? Is your family vegan but craving some tagalongs or samoas? Are your kids on the all-natural Feingold program or following a paleo diet, but you don't want them to feel deprived?

Or do you just want the fun of making some all-natural versions of these beloved treats in your own kitchen with your own kids?

The good news is that no matter what your child's food needs are, there is almost certainly a Girl Scout cookie hack to meet them!

Here's a round-up of allergy friendly, vegan and paleo Girl Scout recipes to make with your kids. Note that some recipes are included in more than one category, to make it easy to find the right cookies for your needs. In fact, one recipe (Paleo Peanut Butter Patties – Tagalongs by Elana at Elana's Pantry) fits in all four categories. A great many of these recipes are also free of other allergens, such as eggs, soy, corn and nuts.

(And if you've ever wondered what the original Girl Scout cookies were like, you can find the recipe here.)

Note: Want to support your local Girl Scouts? Some cookies are now available in gluten free, dairy free and vegan versions. Check with your local girl scouts to see which ones are available in your area.
