Make your Faith Matter - Walk to end homelessness

Photo: AP Images / Jacquelyn MartinPeople of faith will be coming together this Saturday, November 7th. to support the United Way of Greater Los Angeles on a walk to end homelessness. News of the event was announced by the Office of Justice and Peace of the Los Angeles Catholic Archdiocese, and is supported by FAITH Matters, an alliance of faith groups who minister to the homeless and who work toward the eradication of homelessness.

The walk itself is aimed to educate participants about the difficulties faced by those in our community who are presently in need of shelter. Participants will also be empowered with suggestions and information on how they can work toward solving the problem of homelessness.

All members of the L.A. community concerned with the plight of the homeless are invited to join in the non-competitive 5K walk. To register, visit FAITH Matters registration webpage or one may register at the event. Registration is FREE!

When: Saturday, November 7th. Registration opens at 7:30am; Walk begins 9:00am
