Sometimes when the kids are out of school for the summer, parents can become so intent on keeping them busy they forget their spouse. Every loving parent wants to keep the children entertained so that they have less time to get into trouble; and doing that is important. Even spending time with the children is a good thing to do. However, neglecting one's significant other can do more harm, than good.

It is much more important to stay connected with one's spouse. Taking a couple of hours away from the kids will help keep your marriage on track. It's very important to have alone time with each other in order to have a successful marriage.

The Cracker Barrel restaurant, on SW 43rd Street, just off Archer Road, is offering their summer specials. They have Campfire Chicken and Campfire Beef meals with two sides and buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins for approximately $10.00 each. Both meals are cooked and served in aluminum foil, to help keep in the juices, giving it more flavor. They also have a huge menu full of other delicious food selections.

Throughout the year, life can be very busy and sometimes hectic. Making time to be with one's significant other is critical to having a wonderful marriage.

Continuing to have date nights after having children is a great way to stay connected. Couples eating a meal alone, without the kids, can be very enjoyable, especially in a fun environment like Cracker Barrel. It's a great date place.

Now is the time to schedule a babysitter and make the time to be alone with the spouse. It's also fun to look around Cracker Barrel to see pictures and items that were used seventy years ago. And the scenery can bring back old memories, while creating new ones.
