Bring Remy and his delightful cooking home to your family's kitchen this week and watch Ratatouille for this week's Family Disney night.
Remy has a very intriguing way of motivating people who watch this movie to want to get up and cook something that came directly out of a fancy, expensive restaurant. He makes people want to be creative with their cooking and almost makes people want to cook their new ideas instead of cooking the same things over and over again.
Ah, the power of a rat.
For this week's theme, aside from cooking Ratatouille in the kitchen letting your kids help cook also to show them that the movie was right with the fact that 'anyone can cook,' you could also have French music playing in the background or play the Ratatouille soundtrack. You could even print out a few of the pictures from the movie and place them around your kitchen so your kids feel like Remy is eating with them too. You could buy a French looking tablecloth as well to even go all out. After dinner of course, you all can curl up on the couch and finish the night by watching Disney's Ratatouille.
The movie is great for showing your children that 'anyone can cook.' Disney once again allows kids to use their imagination. In this case Linguini and Remy can understand each other. So while you are making Ratatouille for dinner tonight, let your kids help make it so they learn that they too can cook if they wanted to (with the supervision from you of course).
