Make plans now to Take the "K" Train to Santa Cruz

I don’t know about you, but my planning/ticket buying for fall is already in full swing just a week past Fourth of July. The Monterey tix and hotel have been secured and a grip of SFJAZZ ducats will follow suit later this month.
That said, here is another fall favorite to get on your calendar. Kuumbwa Jazz presents its Take the “K” Train fund-raiser October 25 at the Jazz Center in downtown Santa Cruz.

This is your invitation to Kuumbwa Jazz’s once-a-year special event. Your participation will ensure the success of Kuumbwa’s treasured role as a landmark cultural institution. This important benefit for Kuumbwa’s year-round concert and education programs sells out quickly.
We guarantee the moment you enter Take the “K” Train – you will be welcomed and treated to champagne paired with fresh oysters, lavish hors d’oeuvres, and our specialty, superb wines poured by our good friends, Erik and Judy Johnson, Miner Family Winery and Ridge Vineyards
Together we have plans for a fundraising event featuring the stars of the evening, world-class live and silent auction items such as:
VIP package for two to the Jazz à Vienne 2015 Festival in Vienne, France; Savannah Music Festival 2015 package with hotel and tour of Benedetto Guitar Factory; exclusive wine tours; special golf packages; and private dinners featuring rare and select wines
