From the moment you walk into the lobby, you feel the opulence; with its grand piano you know this is no ordinary theater. Antique chandeliers, Egyptian lead crystals lend to the grand scale, plus an orchestra pit, where an organ now rises for Friday and Saturday night concerts. The quality doesn’t stop there, the state of the art digital quality equipment would make the high tech geeks mouths water.

What makes this theater worth the drive? Not only are there showings for first-run family films, you can see the classics here, as well as foreign releases. Plus there is live entertainment and organ concerts Friday and Saturday nights.

The Heights 10th Annual Holiday Show is set for Saturday, Dec 12th and Sunday December 13th showing Irving Berlin’s,1954 classic, White Christmas, starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen.which has been sold out the last four year

This is not just a movie; it’s an afternoon of pure nostalgia...

Showtime is 2:00, with doors opening at 12:45pm, which gives you plenty of time to enjoy the special Pre-show festivities as Don Shier will be tinkling the ivories on that beautiful baby grand, while you browse and bid on many wonderful items in their special Silent Auction benefiting The Columbia Heights Public Library Foundation.
