Make naturally dyed Easter eggs at Irvine Nature Center (Video)

Spring is around the corner and with it comes the Easter holiday. It is the time when we rejoice new life; both spiritual and natural. In our culture a symbol of new life is the egg that is hard-boiled and brightly decorated for Easter. Irvine Nature Center will teach how to color your eggs naturally.

Natural Egg Dyeing
On Saturday, March 23 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the Irvine Nature Center is offering Natural Egg Dyeing, a program suitable for individuals and families of all ages. Pre-registration is required as walk-ins are not allowed.

Admission is $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members. You can register online by clicking here.

Learn how to make dye from natural ingredients to color your Easter eggs. The Irvine Nature Center asks participants to, “…bring up to a dozen hard-boiled eggs and wear clothes that can get messy.” All dyeing materials are provided.

Dyed eggs will be left overnight at Irvine Nature Center, so the eggs will have brighter colors. They can be picked up any day between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
