MAKE Motorsports announced on Friday that it has a new crew chief atop the pit box for its No. 50 Chevrolet NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team. Kenny Evans is the team's new crew chief for the No. 50 truck driven by T.J. Bell, beginning with Friday night's American Ethanol 200 at Iowa Speedway in Newton.

"I had this opportunity to come to MAKE and work with these great people, (team owners) Mark (Beaver) and Tracy(Lowe), along with the team," Evans said. "I am glad to be able to help turn around the MAKE program and show what this team is able to do."

Evans has worked with NASCAR teams including Bobby Hamilton Racing, Andy Petree Racing, and JTG-Daugherty Racing. Most recently, he worked as car chief on the No. 98 Phil Parsons Racing Sprint Cup team.

Evans replaces Randy Dean as the team's crew chief. Dean will remain with MAKE Motorsports, though, serving as the organization's Competition Director.

"I'm looking forward to working with the new crew chief," Bell said. "I think it will be really good for our team. So far, the team is starting gel, and it means improvements for our team. I love racing here (Iowa), because it's a short track that races like and intermediate track and the crowds are awesome."

In eight races this season, the No. 50 truck has an average finish of 19.63.

The America Ethanol 200 is scheduled to take the flag shortly after 7:30 p.m. local (Central) and can be seen live on FOX Sports 1, with pre-race coverage beginning at 7 p.m. Qualifying is scheduled for 4:40 p.m. local.
