Make it a west side Valentine’s Day celebration

If you are thinking about going out to dinner to celebrate Valentine’s Day next Thursday, February 14, you have a wide range of possibilities on the west side, practically from the ridiculous to the sublime. Though many people don’t think of White Castle as ridiculous so much as addictive, and they go out of their way to make things special for couples plan ahead to enjoy a celebratory dinner there on February 14.

Make your reservations by calling the White Castle hotline at 513.559.0575, Ext. 10, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. They’ll take reservations for a candlelit dinner of sliders at the White Castle locations on Delhi Pike in Delhi, Warsaw Avenue in Price Hill, or Harrison at Boudinot in Westwood any time between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Valentine’s Day. And after you have made your reservation, you can invite your sweetheart to join you with a Valentine’s SliderGram, available online ready to personalize and send.

Or maybe cheese coneys are more your style . . . the Warsaw Avenue Skyline Chili in Price Hill has a $19.95 Valentine’s Day special that includes dinner, drinks, dessert, and flowers (call 513.471.2445 for reservations). What could be more romantic than sharing a couple of four ways with coneys on the side with your main squeeze?

Of course, it’s possible to go a little more upscale. Henke Winery in Westwood is offering a four-course Valentine’s dinner for $89.95 per couple, and includes a bottle of their award-winning wine made right on the premises. You’ll need to make reservations in advance, by calling 513.662.9463. There will be live music to create a romantic atmosphere, too.

If you’d like dinner with a view, you have two choices almost right next to each other on the crest of Price Hill. Check out the newest restaurant in the neighborhood, the Incline Public House, at 2601 West 8th Street. They open at 4:00 pm, and they just opened this month, so you may have a wait for a table, but word is it’s worth it. They have a wide variety of beer and wine and some clever takes on pub food, as well as some amazing city views.

And just across the park, there’s PrimaVista, one of the best restaurants in the city, which just happens to be on the west side. They feature sublime Italian specialties and their own great city view. The ambiance is just right for a Valentine’s Day dinner, and the food is always superb. Call 513.251.6467.

There you have it—you can go upscale, low rent, or anywhere in between, but whatever your choice, make your reservations soon and treat that special someone to a night out on the town, right here on the west side this Valentine’s Day.
