The city of Tempe is hosting their annual Geeks' Night Out event this Thursday in their city hall. The event is open to all as a part of the Arizona State University Catalyst Geek Week.
The Night Out will open up at 5 p.m. and occupy the city hall surrounding area with all manner of tech, sci-fi, pop culture, and various other geekery on display. The event will last until 10 p.m.
Among the groups participating in the night the Tempe School District Robotics Club, the University of Advancing Technology, R2-D2 Builders Club, Arizona Ghostbusters, Evil Controllers, and many more will be present hosting their respective exhibits. There will also be live music acts such as A Life of Science and One Kitty Gone performing throughout the event.
The fun won't be limited to just displays and exhibits however, as the Phoenix Comicon representatives will be hosting a costume contest and photo booth for cosplayers to enter. Local comic shop Pop Culture Paradise will also host autograph sessions with various graphic novel and comic writers and artists.
