Who doesn't love our friend and famous television personality, David Bromstad?
Among the many joys that come from the Easter holiday, an undoubted favorite is painting Easter Eggs. HGTV personality David Bromstad has a couple of handy tricks for how to make an easy and affordable Easter activity more glamorous and memorable than you could imagine!
" an easy and affordable Easter activity more glamorous and memorable than you could imagine!"
Bromstad's key to any project is a little forethought and a little bit of thinking outside the box. For starters, instead of taking basic primary colors, Bromstad suggests using bold metallics—golds, silvers, bronzes and copper! Using either metallic paints or a spray paint, simply apply a coat of brilliant metallic as the base.
From there, a craftier Easter Egg-maker can apply a secondary metallic for a complementary leafing effect. Your Easter eggs will be mistake for Faberge eggs in no time! Kids can take these shimmering delights and add their own touches: sequins, lace... any bit of imagination will go a long way.
To top off your Easter basket, Bromstad's finishing touch involves using black or white grass instead of green. This will make the metallics pop out more, and make your basket the best on the block.
While non-traditional for Easter standards, metallic Easter eggs are undeniably bold, brilliant, and beautiful—nothing less from one of reality TV's most respected and beloved personalities in the design industry. In his career, David Bromstad is known for his design flourishes that work with his out-of-the-box approach to every project. Even an Easter basket has to have his signature touch of flair!
