Is it possible to make new friends at a Hip Hop class? Harris Horton, the group leader of Hip Hop Phanatyx, also known as B-Boy Phayte thinks so.
The group's ages range from 15 to 18 years old says Imao, member of the group, and new dancers have already joined the group as of this writing. Imagine making new friends and sharing your discoveries while practicing your favorite break step.
As a self-instructed group, the Hip Hop Phanatyx know the etiquette of Hip Hop where everyone takes a turn at break dancing in the middle of the floor. While perfecting steps, respect is also practiced between members.
Dancing is good exercise and wholesome fun.
The Hip Hop Phanatyx meet every weekday except Tuesdays from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the E. Bob Price Recreation Center on 2060 Bonnie Lane in Las Vegas. It is formerly known as the Sunrise Recreation Center.
The recreation center is also looking for a hip hop instructor who would like to assist the group. Call the recreation center if you want to be that new friend.
You can reach a member of the group or call the recreation center at (702) 455-7600 for more information on group times.
Make friends with dance, and have fun!
