In a press release received via email, Xorin Balbes, founder and designer, announced three new additions to the property than imclude an outdoor saltwater pool and spa, a yoga/meeting pavilion and Maui’s newest suite, the Ali’i suite, an 1,100 square foot luxurious sanctuary with sweeping views of the ocean and island. Suite amenities include a own private chef and kitchen, private yoga and massage treatments.
Not for every budget, the rates for the suite begin at $4,500 for three and five night packages for two that include a chef to cook meals, daily breakfast, a candlelit dinner on the lanai, daily in-room massages for two, and private yoga class.
The retreat can be sublimely relaxing or you can get up and go and take a tour of a winery, a far, milk and feed goats at a local farm or tour the island’s Ocean Vodka Farm and Distillery.
Located on the lower west side of the property overlooking the West Maui Mountains Lumeria sits on six ocean- and mountain-view acres between the seaside village of Paia and the upcountry paniolo (cowboy) town of Makawao. There are 25 guest rooms and suites, a yoga and event pavilion, a yoga studio, 900-square-foot outdoor yoga platform and 8,000-square-foot lower terrace suited for group activities. The Harvest restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week with menus featuring local, organically grown produce.
