Make a note to go to Libertyville for Girls Basketball sectional play

Next week is going to bring the sectional round for Class 4A in girls basketball around Illinois. If there is one place that fans need to be, it would be in Libertyville where two of the best teams in the entire state will likely face off. The Fremd Vikings and Rolling Meadows Mustangs are on a collision course to face each other in the sectional final.

Fremd features two solid players in Ashley McConnell and Haley Golecki who both can score over 20 points at any point. Rolling Meadows has players like Jackie Kemph, Jenny Vliet and Alexis Glasgow and the Mustangs love running up and down the court. If the two teams can win their sectional semifinal, it would be a Fremd/Rolling Meadows game for a chance for the right to go to the supersectional.

If there is one game that fans around the suburbs want to see for the third time this season, this would be it. It is the game that should be a state semifinal but won't be so fans need to get their plans together now.
