Make a craft organizer using supplies you already have

Looking for an organization project? Maybe one of your New Year’s resolutions was to curtail the craft supplies overflowing your desk? You might not have a lot of money now to spend for expensive boxes and containers so here is a cool project brought to us by Fiskars.

Uses supplies lying around the house to make a simple and fun craft organizer. Fiskars Craft Designer Smitha Katti uses cereal boxes, paper rolls and a big box to hold all her pencils, markers, brushes and craft supplies.

Supply List:

  • Empty cereal boxes
  • Paper rolls
  • Oatmeal containers
  • Mod Podge
  • Cardstock

Start collecting these supplies and then simply make them look pretty, using mod podge to cover the rolls and trimmed paper with wide washi tapeJapanese washi tape is a fabric-like masking tape that comes in dozens of patterns—to cover the box and other containers. They’ll love the look of natural chipboard with these bright colors, but if they prefer, they could also paint the insides of the rolls and boxes white.
