To make a cat o lantern, you will need the following tools. Black craft paint, cardboard painted black for ears, a pumpkin, a pumpkin carving kit, fishing wire, and a candle or battery0operated tea lights.
First, carve a cat’s sweet face on the hallowed out pumpkin, making holes for eyes, nose and mouth. Whiskers can be made from fishing wire, also painted black
Paint the pumpkin black; or you can have an orange cat or a Tortie or all three! After the paint has dried, stick in the painted fishing wire, attach the ears and place a candle or battery operated tea lights in the center.
Some people prop these creations up on sturdy posts and line their driveway so when they come home at night they will be greeted with a festive welcoming.
