If you're heading to Bangkok, Thailand in the near future and are young, trendy or are looking for a place to shop for someone who is, you might want to consider shopping at Major Ratchayothin's Center Point. It's a new strip mall next to Major Cineplex Ratchayothin mall in northern Bangkok and it's been created to appeal to the huge number of young, affluent Thais that live around the area.
At Center Point, you'll find boutiques and small stores selling Japanese make-up, Japanese candy and snacks, a nail salon, various stores that stock clothing by independent Thai fashion designers, a shoe store, handmade jewelry shop and lots more small shops that sell some of the most unique and fun items in Bangkok.
What's even more wonderful about Center Point is it's right next to the Major Cineplex Ratchayothin night market -- an evening market with more than 100 clothing, jewelry, bag and shoe stalls -- so if you don't find what you're looking for at Center Point, you'll likely find it here.
Add onto that the Major Cineplex Ratchayothin mall itself with a movie theater, IMAX screens, a bowling alley, karaoke facilities, and various restaurants and stores, and Suzuki Avenue -- a large restaurant and cafe complex -- and it's no wonder this area of Bangkok is absolutely packed with people every night.
Center Point stores open in the late morning and are open until at least 10pm every night of the week. You can get there by taking the MRT underground train to Pahonyothin Station and then a taxi to travel the last two kilometers from there.
