On April 4 new information suggests that Sony will make a major announcement later this month or in early May concerning the PS4 launch and other details.
Sony Computer Entertainment formally announced the PlayStation 4 earlier this year and has since gained a lot of momentum leading up to E3 2013.
According to sources familiar with Sony’s marketing strategy, the company is going to make a big announcement about the PS4 this month or in early May, shares PCMag.
Details of the major announcement are vague as the source only shared that “late April/early May will be the likeliest timeframe for a full-blown launch of the PS4.”
If the announcement is going to be focused on the launch of the PlayStation 4, we should hear official pricing details, launch date, and additional launch software at this event.
Microsoft is rumored to be planning an Xbox 720 – Durango – reveal during the latter half of May -- full story here.
If Sony holds another PS4 event before Microsoft announces the Xbox 720, things could get interesting come E3 2013.
