Stop the presses!
Is it possible?
Could it be?
According to published reports from London’s Mirror.co.uk and celebrity gossip Guru Perez Hilton, a Las Vegas hotel has offered New Jersey rock band Bon Jovi a multi-million dollar deal to play an exclusive residency for an unspecified period of time.
If the ghosts of Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra are within earshot, best get your asses UP in those arena rafters and start moving to the vibe that Bon Jovi's going to be churning out.
For the mercurial man and the band who are proud to say that they will play anywhere, anytime and even the desert so they can sell it out twice, could playing for a couple weeks at the MGM-Grand or Caesar’s Palace be the next jewel for King Jovi to put in his considerable crown?
Sources indicate that the deal was influenced by Bon Jovi’s successful residency at London’s 02 Arena where the tireless troubadours set up shop for 12 rollicking performances in support of their Number One Grossing World Tour and their latest studio effort, ‘The Circle’.
Why, fans of JoviNation are probably booking airline tickets and hotel reservations right now through the end of the year in anticipation of the greatest male musical entertainer to play there since Elvis Presley held court in the 1970’s.
Can’t you just imagine Jon wearing the gold lame suit from the ‘100,000 Million Bon Jovi Fans Can’t Be Wrong’ multi-disc CD release; or perhaps a White Trash Beautiful inspired jump-suit a la’ Elvis?
Maybe a white leather get-up with an open V-neck down to his um-hummms, showing off his tightly muscled chest and race-horse rippling thighs?
They’re swooning from New Zealand to New Jersey at the luscious thought of Jon and the Boys taking over the town that Frank Sinatra---a band idol---helped to put on the map way back when; and true to form, Bon Jovi would light up the town bigger, badder, better, faster, and stronger than any entertainment act that came before them.
According to publicists, the band is said to be ‘excited’ by the offer. It makes perfect sense and would be a marvelous way to bring the current tour home after the December 19 show in Sydney, Australia.
With the upcoming release of the band’s long-awaited Ultimate Greatest Hits Collection on November 9, wouldn’t Bon Jovi shows in Las Vegas through Christmas and New Years be the best possible Christmas gift that would keep on giving for rabid fans the world over?
As for the band, the offer works out for them because it affords them the opportunity to come in off the road for a period of weeks to play in one location; gives them the flexibility of flying home to family and friends between shows that they were not able to do at the 02; or, since they love to sit around the poker and blackjack tables, hang out with hundreds of their close, personal, and most rabid fans at a variety of casinos and nightspots.

though the imagery you write about is lovely, a rep for the band has already said it was just a rumor (also hasn't Jon said that the Las Vegas desert is difficult on his vocal chords which is why he usually doesn't stick around too long after the shows there)
Sorry, but this is NOT true. Band's rep confirms that it's just a rumor
Bon Jovi in Vegas. Give me a break. Has not got the talent or communication with the audience for Vegas.
True or false, Bon jovi has more talent and audience communication than most acts out there.
Damn! And I'm planning on being in Vegas in a few months!
They have way much years ahead of firt place Billboard new realeases and platinum cd to accept in this moment of their lifes a Las Vegas Hotel act. That's for really good musicians on their career final phase. Jon is way to smart to accept that and way to rich to need it...
