If you are looking for an all-inclusive, 5-star resort to have your destination wedding, a relaxing honeymoon, or a family vacation then look no further than the Majestic Resorts located in Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.
The Majestic Resorts are actually two resorts located side-by-side. They consist of the family-friendly Majestic Colonial Punta Cana and the Majestic Elegance Punta Cana which features an adults-only oasis called the Elegance Club. Both resorts are located on the beautiful beaches of Punta Cana - picture clear blue sea and soft white sand.
The Majestic Colonial Punta Cana opened in 2005 and has quickly become one of the top-rated properties for families, weddings and honeymoons. There are 658 rooms on the property along with 7 restaurants and 11 bars (including a swim-up bar). This is the more family-friendly resort as this is where the Kids Club is located. The Kids Club is open daily from 9am-8pm and they offer games and activities for children ages 4 to 14. There is also a Baby Land area for children under 3 – they must be accompanied by the parent or there are baby-sitters available (extra charge). All rooms are at least Junior Suites with private Jacuzzi’s (some are inside the room, some are outside on the patio). Oceanview and Ocean Front Suites are available for those wanting a room with an upgraded view.
Next door is the Majestic Elegance Punta Cana which is perfect for honeymooners and destination weddings. While kids are allowed in some parts of the resort, there is also a private adults-only area as well. All the rooms are Junior Suites and they all come with Jacuzzi (either inside the room or on the terrace). They also have swim-up rooms if you want direct access to the beautiful pool. The Elegance Club located at the Majestic Elegance makes a perfect retreat for honeymooners and couples. This is an adults-only area with 2 private pools, a private beach area, and two private lounges - all accessible only if you are staying in the "Club" accommodations.
Looking for a location for a destination wedding? If you are planning a destination wedding at the resort and have a minimum of 15 rooms booked for a 7-night stay, you are eligible for a free wedding! If you have less then 15 rooms a fee will apply. The property employs wedding coordinators who will work with you to plan your wedding before you arrive and during your stay. Just an FYI – there is a Catholic chapel on-site if you wish to get married indoors.
For honeymooners, you can receive a free Honeymoon Package which includes a one category upgrade (based on availability), bottle of champagne upon arrival, romantic breakfast in your suite and more. Valid on arrivals within one month of your wedding date.
A valid passport is required for U.S. travelers to the Dominican Republic. There are direct flights from Ft Lauderdale and Miami to Punta Cana. From Orlando, you will need to change planes once en route.
