Oktoberfest is being celebrated on MainStreet Libertyville, under the big top tent on Church Street on Sat., Sept. 28, 2013 4-11 p.m., rain or shine. Libertyville is a North Shore suburb of Chicago, Ill.
A perennial community favorite, this year’s Oktoberfest is a fundraiser that offers delicious German food, seasonal German beverages from local pub Mickey Finn’s Brewery and a selection of wines. The festival also offers music, dancing and family fun.
Families are encouraged to join in the fun with Music Now DJ Group hosting games and events for the children from 4-6 p.m.
Then it’s time for authentic German music from downtown favorite, Steve’s Bavarian Oompah band, and an opportunity for German dancing.
Later in the evening CoverGurl will entertain on the big stage with selections of current and classic rock music.
Admission tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets are available at the MainStreet office at 160 E. Cook in Libertyville and online at the MainStreet Libertyville website while supplies last. When purchasing admission tickets online, you will receive an e-mail which must be presented at the entrance for admittance. Children are admitted free!
