Maine to host Vermont in Tuesday evening conference showdown

The University of Maine men's basketball team will be looking to snap a three game losing streak when they host Vermont on Tuesday evening.

Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. and can be seen on ESPN 3.

The Black Bears are coming off a very disappointing 57-56 loss to Binghamton. Maine had an 11 point halftime lead.

Justin Edwards is averaging 17.2 points per game to lead the Black Bears. Alasdair Fraser is averaging 13.5 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.

Vermont (12-7) comes in with a 5-1 conference record. They have won their last three games. Candon Rusin scored 25 points in an 81-73 victory over Stony Brook on Friday.

Vermont is currently tied with Albany at the top of the America East standings. Maine is 2-3 in the conference and in the middle of the America East standings.
