Carsyn Koch and Carmen Bragg (Washburn) will be playing in the class D state championship basketball game for the fourth year in a row this Saturday afternoon at the Augusta Civic Center.
Both were selected by the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches (MABC) to participate in the class C/D 2014 Maine McDonald's High School Senior All-Star Basketball Game.
The Beavers will take on Forest Hills in the state championship game.
Paige Gillespie (Calais) will also be playing for a state championship game this Saturday at the Augusta Civic Center.
Gillespie averaged 10 points and 10 rebounds per game this season for the class C Eastern Maine champions from Calais.
The Blue Devils will face Carrabec in the class C state title game.
Katie Smith and Elea Kass were both four year players for coach Jess Witham and the Orono Red Riots.
Smith and Kass will participate in the class C/D McDonald's girls basketball all star game.
Parise Rossignol still has plenty of basketball left in the state of Maine.
Rossignol will be playing her college basketball for coach Richard Barron at the University of Maine.
You will get one last chance to see Rossignol as a high school player at the Maine McDonald's all star game.
Rossignol averaged close to 31 points for the Van Buren Crusaders this year. She also averaged nine rebounds and over five assists per game.
She broke her father's record for most points in school history.
Rossignol came only seven points shy of Cindy Blodgett's state record.
Rossignol and Kass were also named to the all-state academic team.
Raychel Alley (Stearns) joins Rossignol as semi-finalists for Miss.Maine basketball.
Morgan Thompson (Schenck) averaged 16 points and nine rebounds per game in leading the Wolverines to an outstanding season.
Abbie Melvin (Dexter) and Sable Altvater (Southern Aroostook) also were named to the McDonald's girls basketball class C/D all star roster.
