Maine McDonald's high school senior boys class C/D all star roster

Nick Guiod made one of the biggest shots in the final years of the Bangor Auditorium.

Guiod hit a three pointer at the buzzer to help the Houlton Shiretowners defeat Mattanawcook in a 2012 semifinal game.

As a junior, Guiod helped the Shiretowners reach the Eastern Maine final in the final year of the Bangor Auditorium.

As a senior, Guiod helped his team win the regional title.

Guiod went 12-12 from the free throw line in a 60-44 semifinal victory over Penquis at Cross Insurance Center.

On Saturday, Guiod and the Shiretowners will travel to the Augusta Civic Center to face Waynflete in the class C state championship game.

Guiod was selected by the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches (MABC) to participate in the class C/D 2014 Maine McDonald's High School Senior All-Star Basketball Game.

It is a rare for a student/athlete to be on the McDonald's all star team as a player and be named to the All-State academic team.

Trevor Lyford helped the Penquis Patriots win the 2013 class C state championship.

He also made his mark in the new Cross Insurance Center.

Lyford scored 39 points, including hitting a game tying three pointer at the end of the first overtime in a quarterfinal victory over Washington Academy.

Lyford was also named to the All-State academic team. He is also a semi-finals for the Mr. Maine basketball award.

Philip Shaheen (George Stevens) was also named to the senior McDonald's all star game and to the All-State academic team.

Trevor Fogarty was the floor general for a Dexter Tigers team that won 11 games this season.

Fogarty will play for the C/D boys team at the McDonald's all star game.

Cole Beal (Jonesport-Beals) averaged 30 points per game this season.

Beal helped the Royals pull off an upset over Washburn in a class D preliminary round game.
