David Lanigan’s Main Sequence will bypass Royal Ascot, and punters will instead be able to wager on the sprinter at the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris. Main Sequence lost his unbeaten record after placing second behind Camelot in the Investec Derby.

“He worked on Saturday which was his last serious piece of work and I'll do an easy piece on Wednesday. He seems fine,” Lanigan told “I know after Epsom that Royal Ascot was three weeks later, but some horses run a little bit flat at Ascot, so we decided early on to give that a miss and he'll travel to France on Friday.”

Four racehorses from Britain will compete in the French event. John Gosden’s Shantaram and Henry Cecil's pair of All That Rules and King Of Dudes will join Main Sequence in Paris.

In other news, Andrew Oliver is currently tentative on whether Sendmylovetorose will contend in the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Cherry Hinton Stakes at Newmarket on Friday. The horse was withdrawn at Royal Ascot after rearing over backwards in the stalls before the Albany Stakes.

Sendmylovetorose is the daughter of Bahamian Bounty who has won in a Navan maiden and a Group 3 at the Curragh. She could be supplemented for the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh on August 12.
